My obsession with textiles began after graduating in Fashion and Textile Design from the Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney, when I landed a role doing hand embroidery at Karen Willis Holmes bridalwear. I adored my time in the design studio, working with beadwork, lace appliqué, and the most luxurious fabrics. It was a world of slow craft, exquisite detail, and pieces made with genuine care for someone’s most important day. That stayed with me.
Then I took a long detour into corporate life. I carved out a strong career in digital marketing, creating CRM journeys and spending more time in Excel than any creative person should. But no matter how well I did behind a desk, I was always being pulled back to my first love, textiles, and the kind of work you can actually hold in your hands.
WOVEN STORIES was born from that pull. Part love of embroidery and creative freedom, part refusal to spend the rest of my life catching the 333 bus into the city. More than anything, it came from a desire to create pieces that feel stunning to give, receive, and keep.
I care deeply about quality. I painstakingly source textile mills with the right certifications and spend more time than I probably should refining every detail. I want every Woven Stories piece, whether it’s a keepsake, a commission, or an event activation, to feel considered, beautiful, and worthy of the moment it marks.
